Golf New Zealand

As a leader in the sports sector, Golf New Zealand is truly pin high when it comes to child safeguarding and protection. Our partnership began with Golf NZ’s commitment to not only lead by example but also to support the wider golf community on their safeguarding journey. Together, we have:​

  • Established strong safeguarding structures within Golf NZ, including the creation of a Safeguarding Committee and designated Safeguarding Champions.

  • Developed comprehensive child safety policies and procedures, such as the Safeguarding for Events Policy and Investigations Policy, alongside interactive versions of the Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy and Safeguarding Code of Conduct tailored for the golfing community.

  • Delivered tailored, facilitated training sessions to strengthen safeguarding knowledge and practices across all working levels.

  • Designed bespoke Safeguarding and Child Protection eLearning courses, now hosted on Golf NZ’s learning management system, providing accessible and ongoing training for both Golf NZ staff and the broader golfing community.
