Safer Recruitment

Embedding Child Safety in Every Step of Recruitment, Selection and Onboarding.

Child safety risks aren't confined to a child's personal environment. The Royal Commission has shown how they can also arise within organisations and community environments. Safer recruitment, selection, and onboarding are critical aspects of being a Child Safe Organisation. In this training, learners explore essential safeguards and child-focused processes that help deter unsafe individuals from targeting and exploiting your organisation.

Participants will gain a clear understanding of the significant gaps in legislated and sector requirements and how these gaps continue to expose organisations, staff, and, most importantly, children and families to potential risks of harm. This comprehensive Safer Recruitment training outlines key safeguards subsequently recommended by Aotearoa New Zealand’s Abuse in Care Royal Commission and, where applicable, goes beyond these recommendations to continue advocating robust recruitment, selection, and onboarding safeguarding solutions.

This training is particularly beneficial for professionals and volunteers in positions that influence recruitment decisions and is available in three flexible formats:

  • Facilitated In-Person Training

  • Facilitated Exclusive Online Classes via our Virtual Classroom

  • Highly Rated eLearning
