This FREE guide is to support Governance personnel serving organisations working with or coming into contact with children and young people, or those commissioning other providers to do this on their behalf.
Governance holds significant responsibilities surrounding ensuring their organisation is serving its purpose and that it is appropriately resourced. They also hold accountability for an organisation’s performance and conduct. Safeguarding is a critical component for any organisation engaging children and/or young people. Yet there is very little guidance (if any) for our New Zealand Governance personnel. This guide is designed to support them in exploring:
Driving and monitoring the organisation’s safeguarding culture; and
Their specific safeguarding role, responsibilities and points for consideration.
